Obituary for Franklin Leroy Tucker
He was born October 20, 1929 in Laurel Hill Florida and passed July 28, 2023 in Tavares Florida. He had resided in Groveland Florida for approximately 10 years. He was married to Sybil Tucker for 67 years. He was predeceased by his wife Sybil and daughter JoAnn.
Frank is survived by his children Teresa, Gary, Patsy and Bennett. He is survived by 4 grandchildren (Robert, Chris, Tim and Lee). He is survived by 10 grandchildren. Kathy Tincher, a beloved niece who was like a daughter to Frank and Sybil and assisted with their care when needed. . Her husband Gordon was always readily available to help as well. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved.
He really loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He especially enjoyed the family celebrations of birthdays and the Holidays. He enjoyed fishing and telling fish stories. He served in the USAF. He was employed at Martin Marietta for 31 years as an HVAC Industrial technician. He also did TV and Radio repair for many years.
One of his favorite pastimes was watching older westerns. He did not mind watching them repeatedly. He also had a great love for fishing with his Son Gary and fished several Tournaments. He had his share of good fishing stories.
The family would like to express their appreciation for all who have offered words of encouragement and comfort. Your support has been a source of inspiration to us. We also want to express a special thanks to his latest caregiver, Linda who was so attentive to making sure his needs were met. Gary had resided with Mr. Tucker for the past 1.5 providing care as needed.
Mrs. Sybil Tucker passed in 2017. She expressed to the family that she did not want a service. However today we are remembering her life as well. Their final resting place together will be Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland FL.
